Hi All. I found these two buttons at a site I didn't even know there was suppose to be a house. When the first came out of the ground I almost fell out! I've seen them called CW and also post CW. The back mark is Superior Quality on these. Looks like 23mm dia. Can anyone tell me for sure? Thanks. buttons 020.webp

Good clear picture of the reverse always help, the back-mark stated might include other clues like dots or stars etc....

Nice buttons, please post photos of the backs. Congrats and HH

Great looking buttons.

Thanks guys. Trying to carefully clean them just enough to get a clear pic or two of the backs.

Don't know the age but those buttons are in great shape.
Congrats

Thats a pair of great looking Texas buttons. Congrats.

By the looks in my book. "Record of American uniform and Historical buttons" page 256 and 257. They are post Civil War. My book doesn't have the Superior Quality listed as a manufacture of the buttons. Hope this helps.. Awesome buttons. I don't believe i have ever seen them posted on here before.

Good info. But seen both CW & post examples posted before. Not many though.

Thanks guys. I found conflicting info also. Dug around all over the internet and saw very few examples. I would never get rid of them....ever...but would like to know if they have some value. So stoked to have found them. Also found an 1895 Confederate reunion badge or drop. Gonna get a pic up soon. Thanks for looking.

Great finds.
Congratulations

Tice also doesn't have that backmark listed as a CW period backmark
