Out this morning at the crack of dawn....great hunt in the fog! :)

Found an 1837 Large Cent, flat button, and a tag (cattle, maybe?)....great way to start the day! :D

Happy Thanksgiving to All!

Hank,
Fantastic morning for you! A BIG congrats.
Do you plan on cleaning the button and tag up? I'd love to see what the back mark says (if any) and what is on that tag.
Very cool finds.

That is a nice modified head Coronet cent, buddy.

Wow! Early Thanksgiving Morning!

Here is very coldest as 20 degrees near Kansas City! I rather to stay home and warm! I am sure that ground is already frost!

Great Thanksgiving morning hunt. Still looking for my first large cent. The old buttons are very interesting also. Good finds and Happy Holidays!

Thanks guys! We had snow the other day, but the warmer temps moved in and thawed the ground...about the first inch was frozen solid yesterday...

Gonna clean everything tomorrow and re-post....Have a great day! :)

Very nice finds. Over 31 years hunting for me and still no large cent. One of these days I guess... I'm glad somebody got to get out. It just stopped raining here but it's toooooooo late for me to get out now. Too close to the turkey getting sliced. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving day.
