Here's an old photo postcard of The Bayou Drive in Brownwood. The only bayou in Brownwood is the Pecan Bayou and this photo was from the late 1800s or very early 1900s as you can see a wagon or buggy on the trail. I don't know any more about it but I wonder if this drive was near or in what is now Riverside Park which sits on the Pecan Bayou. One other tidbit is that the Pecan Bayou was listed as the Pecan River on maps from the early 1800s and 1700s when Spain and Mexico controlled Texas.
