This picture was taken in 1964 it is a 1930's sears kit home The surrounding area is about the same no building up no neighbors close by and a lot of virgin ground to cover the red dots denote buildings that have passed on and a few newer ones have taken the place of some. I have not yet made a dent into hunting it yet hoping to cover more ground this year.

Neat picture for research. Good luck finding the silver.

Looks like you have a nice site to search. Good luck. Don't forget to post your finds.

Hey nice spread! j/k :)

It reminds me of my family farm... near and dear to my heart is the small family garden!

Plenty of space, good for just to relax. I see some trees...don't forget to check them out.
There is a formula for old properties, especially where there is or was a lawn.
Metal detector + old trees = coins :)

So far we did a search of the large building still standing found a few ceramic pieces nothing special though. my first trip to the attic I found a gold necklace and in the yard by the garden area found a lovely brass belt buckle will post a pic of that following this reply. The root cellar was cemented over by the previous owners :( but there is an access window to a crawl space right off of that strange place for a window as it leads to nowhere except the small crawl space which is 9x18 some of the trees are no longer there but thankfully with this picture I know where to look. We love it out here its so peaceful the town is about 6 miles west and has a pop of 556. Have found a lot of scrap around where the old buildings stood and I am the type to dig every beep lot of hand made nails and some hardware. also a few pieces of blue and white shards. Not too many older coins yet. The small building by the garden what do you think pump house or old privy? Would be up to digging that up.
Here is the buckle

That does look like a nice buckle. Good luck...those trees cut down might hold the oldest coins, people used to sit a lot around them, especially ones with a big trunk. Maybe some good bottle digging too? Dig any bottle dumping sites...

Cant wait to find a real good one of those I go a lil spazzy around bottles at auctions I get the oddest looks from people wondering now why in the world does she want those. I still remember my first bottle dump I was in heaven even found a small porcelain doll (really really small) Me and bottles all I can say is thank you to whoever came up with band-aids and butterfly stiches.

WOW! You have a super place to hunt, next time skip all areas and go search the chicken coop and pen.Let me know how ya do.

I'd say you have plenty of potential there

That is a great area and a nice picture too. Just gave me an idea to compare old pics with new ones. Definitely check out the old chicken coop area. The chicken coop made for a natural alarm system. The small building could be a small shed to hold the small garden tools in (shovel, spade, fork, hoe, etc). Also, the old stable/milking barn, may be a good spot too. Like others have said, don't forget to hunt under the trees. Please post pictures of your finds. By the way, welcome aboard. Glad to have you with us. This is a great place.
