The Caves near Gulfstream / Briny Breezes

When I was younger I remember caves, which I believe were right at Gulfstream beach. The barefoot mailman supposedly used to sleep in them. I think some houses collapsed and they sealed them up. Does anyone recall where the entrance was?

I remember reading that those caves and rocks were about 2 1/2 miles north of the Orange Grove House of Refuge in Delray Beach. If you know where the historical marker is marking the site along A1A, the caves were (approximately) 2.5 miles north of there.
