Well I had my first frozen ground of the winter today. Woodchips were frozen too. I tried this ground up rubber tire tot lot and got some clad, but before I even got in the area I eyeballed the small .925 earing. After that hit the beach for alittle more clad and sinkers. Also got a 55 wheatie (no dbl die). The pliers I found there last weekend. Put a wire wheel on them and their good as new. I ran into two other detectorists while I was out there. Had a brief chat and we went on our way. They're members on www.americanrelichunters.com forums. All in all it was a good day cold or not.
Happy Hunting, Mike in NJ

Nothing like cleaning those crushed valve stems out of the rubber.

That's a relatively large earing. Nice find!
