Can anyone suggest what programs, schools or other institutes might offer degrees or certificates that are targeted towards teaching conservation of historic artifacts retrieved from underwater?
For example, the Mel Fisher Museum has a conservation lab, Barry Clifford has one... Presumably, there are scientists working in these places and I can only assume these people have relevant degrees. Where did they go to get them?
My objective here is to broaden my skill set by offering existing salvage operations more than just 'another certified diver underwater with a metal detector'. From there, once my foot's in the door, I can learn the hands-on, real world stuff.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
