Today I went to the same park as yesterday. I was training a new club member on how to use the AT Pro and metal detect in general. In 2 hours time I dug a 9" 1901 V nickel, 1901 Barber dime from 8" and 1905 Barber dime from 9". Also got a early 1900's trolley conducted tie clip. So all the people I hunt with don't go to this park because it's hunted out, and the new person asks if we can go somewhere different next time. Am I nuts to want to keep hitting a park I got 3 Barber dimes, a Nickel, and Barber half in and I've only gridded 20 yards of a 300 yard park.

Thanks for looking

You are not nuts. At least about wanting to hunt this park...

Hello from a fellow Washingtonian.

I wish that I was crazy like that! Well played again sir!

Nuts.....if you don't. You're not alone, I proved it, (to myself), in Kirby Park. ;)

Grrrrrr!!!!!!: :BangHead: lol nah, I'm glad you did well there, I've tried it once for about 3 hrs when I 1st got my etrac and found 2 wheats, one other time with my atpro I got a blank copper (go figure) and a silver roosie

That's great results for hunted out, I say keep a griddin!

Hi; The saying is Finders Keepers. You found them. They didn't. CONGRATS. Keep going. PEACE:RONB

Nice old silver! Congrats!

Your not nuts, your just crazy....like a fox!
Whats that line,...90% of the good finds are made by 1% . ;)

Hello MackDog,

No, You are not nuts! You basically have the park to hunt by yourself. Remember, no place is hunted out... Keep hunting and work the more difficult targets out, will increase your detecting skills and find a lot of forgotten goodies.

I have a few places like this, very few if any hunt besides me. People say, "it's hunted out" or "way to much trash". These are the places where the best goodies hide. Take your time and enjoy the freedom of detecting anytime with no competition.

Regards,

Doc

Congrats on the silver and other nice finds

Sweet silver. Very nice of you to help the newbie.
I think I would continue to dig all deep targets at that park,, but it's probably NUTS to think that way.

Great Barber dimes! You're doing really well for a supposedly "hunted out" spot. I'd be going back there real soon!

Double silver day is a good day! Nice finds!

Great finds and well worth the effort...........
What better way to train a rookie than to show him how to find the deep targets..........keep on that park........anyone can find the stuff close to the surface!!

If you dont go back I will.. jk keep hitting that park.. Great finds.. :occasion14:
