Well it's been some time since posting finds but sure have been reading and seeing everyone else's here. Lot's of nice big silver and gold coins found this year by you die hards out there!

Once summer hit I came up with a couple of spots to check out. Here's my first "old home" for the year.

I literally dug a single wheatie one by one, only one hole had three wheats and when I scanned it again came up with a Indian cent too!

No pic of the house and yard but picture big old house, huge front and side yard on a big corner lot. A long row of big old shade trees lining the property (perfect for lazy day lounging). Here's the take:

8 Indian head cents, (a beauty 1864 with four diamonds and "L")
50 Wheat cents, 1909-1955 (most early-mid teens, no VDB's)
2 Two Cent pcs, both 1865 (both nice)!
1 Buffalo nickel, thinks it's 1916
1 Silver Jeffferson, 1944-P
1 Merc, 1945
1 Silver Rosie, 1959
2 Silver Washingtons, 1944-D, 1964
2 pcs of jewelry

No Barbers at all! >:( No halves either! >:( Oh well.

Sweeeet! Great finds there for sure. I especially like those 2 cent pieces.

2 cents are very cool... I love the way the silvers come up shining.
nice day

Nice finds! There are way more Barbers and Halves posted than 2 cent pieces; are you finished with this house?

:D Great digs for sure!!!!!!!!! Keep your ears open for the halves!!!

Nice finds, bet your going to go back and really slow down and get all the goodies that site has to offer.

Thanks for the pics and story.

I started this the week of Fathers Day, took me about 6 visits, a couple hours each. I even went back today just to see because I only got one wheatie from that back yard, not much really back there. No more today either. But I sure did enjoy the old place.

Sweeeeet finds!!

Who needs barbers and halves when you're finding 2 centers and a nice 1864 L? Looking at the front, that 64 L would definetly grade at least VF and be worth $175 assuming there's no corrosion on the back. The 2cs are about vg-f for about $18 each. People carrieed lots of small change back then, so try for a 3c piece or half dime next time!
