I went to Estes Park yesterday and took a route though Jamestown Colorado. West of Jamestown was a winter wonderland which is only 45 minutes away from where I live. When I got back home it was blue skies and 51 degrees out in the back yard. Today this arctic blast is due here this afternoon, so we'll see as the skies this morning are perfectly clear right now.

We got about 5" or a hair more here last night. They were forecasting 10" to 14" last night (actually, the blizzard warning is still out) but looks like we're gonna get off easy this time. I'm glad, as the ground isn't hard enough to plow yet.

Sure got some beautiful high-country there!!

We only received few inches of snow yet, but the cold is late just above freezing point here. Not sure we'll have snow for the 25th, let's hope.

Elevation really makes all the difference in weather. Just a few hundred feet can give several inches of snow!
