I was thinking wouldn't it be great if our wives bought a couple rolls of 90% silver from Apmex and
buried it all in our yard about 2"-4" Then she could say look I found this 1957 dime in the yard?
Is it worth anything? Just a thought. My wife doesn't read this forum so maybe it will plant a seed
for someone else? Happy New year!

Wow, you just drummed up a bad experience for me.
As a rookie detectorist, my sis in law thought it would be fun to seed my yard as a Christmas gift.
Unfortunately, she is an idiot.
She not only didn’t remember how many Barber Halfs she planted..8 or 10 she said. Didn’t bother to pay attention as to approximately where....
She used a long bar to push the coins as deep as she could, on their sides, so “it would be more of a challenge”
My Bounty Hunter found none of them, the Ace350 found 2, the Pro, a few more, no telling how many more are out there.
Even worse, they were my coins to begin with.

Oh no! That's funny and awful all at once. Tell her she needs to get you 25 permissions at old sites to make up for that. My goodness.

Now that is really funny, Dave. My son found a nice sharks tooth at the beach one fall and my grandson decided he would bury it in the sand again to find it. It never was found and my son wasn't happy!

I almost forgot, what is your address and when are you going on vacation. That yard of yours needs checked out!
