The Hawk came back,well his cousin anyway

I went to put feed out for the critters and this guy flew up from the ground to my canoe.


turned around and looked right at me..

He them looked down and swooped ..

to the Christmas tree I put out for the birds to seek cover in..

there was a squirrel in there he was trying to get,hopped around it and flew back up to His perch
never did get His lunch.

Other squirrels were freaking out barking and flitting their tails at him.

That was my highlight for the day.

Awesome capture Chris!! I believe that is a Cooper's hawk. I had a pair of them in Oregon that sometimes fed on the song birds at my feeder's.

Those really great Chris. I'm having dinner in Leadville Colo now, but came by two nice bucks together along the route. I hope the pic's turn out, because it was kind of low light along a river. I'll try and post them tonight when I get home in a couple hours.
