The King's playground
Last week I went to Denmark on business, however since I was staying with family I did manage to get in 4 hours of detecting with my dad and brother. We had a great time together

We went to a lake (Esrum soe) in the forest (Gribskov) were we detected back in 2007. Gribskov is also referred to as 'The King's playground' as the forest is were the kings had their hunting parties from their summer castle (Fredensborg slot).
My first find was a button and the lion/heart design had me going for a minute thinking kings
I'm pretty sure it's a police button, however I still consider it a neat find
The oldest coins we found were a Swedish 5 ore from 1882 and a Danish 5 ore from 1898. Even managed to pull a US quarter from 1981
Also including a picture of the hammered coin we found at this location in 2007.
