The last 3 days I kept seeing this'injured'Killdeer.




I kinda knew there were eggs or young somewhere,so merrily swinging my coil lookie what I found.


The spot has been marked with a piece of rolled turf,the rock was already there.
Now I'll wait till they hatch and shoot the young(with my Nikon).

Of course I had to get this one too.




On the way out I see this guy in the swamp.

I walked right by her eggs twice,she faked being injured quite well.

Ten students in my 8th grade class; 78 in the entire school.

2 or 3 weeks ago, I had the same experience with killdeer except there were babies instead of eggs. They look identical to the adults...just mini-me's Nice pics again!

Earlier this spring there were 2 nest sites and I was watching 4 of them until 2 Eaglets on one site died.
