The spot has been marked with a piece of rolled turf, the rock was already there.
Now I'll wait till they hatch and shoot the young(with my Nikon).:laughing7:

Of course I had to get this one too.

On the way out I see this guy in the swamp.

Chris,

Those killdeer birds fake injury to lure people away from the nest....very smart of them.

Thanks for this post; brought back memories of my youth when I went to Kildeer grade school (Illinois); named after the same bird--but we spelled it with only one "l"

worldtalker,
A while back? ...that it was.
Desks had inkwells (no joke); that's how long ago.
Ten students in my 8th grade class; 78 in the entire school.
Again, great memories.
Don.......

2 or 3 weeks ago, I had the same experience with killdeer except there were babies instead of eggs. They look identical to the adults...just mini-me's:tongue3: Nice pics again!

Great Pics as usual!..I take it you're getting a new camera soon? Wont be long before those eggs hatch.

Four little babies on the way :) I can't imagine getting to see an eagle as often as you do. That is amazing! Great pictures!
