I’ve decided to send all my crusty, crunchy, half eaten, nasty Zlincolns back to the treasury department and plead with them to make our cents out of actual metal that will hold up to the eliments. It’s a sad day when I can read the date off of a 1927 wheatie but not a 2003 Lincoln that’s been in the ground for 5 years. I must have at least 500

My bank wouldn't take some last time I went there. They said they couldn't tell what they were!

And here is how;

Just go with the Garbage In/Garbage Out philosophy. If it fits in a roll, that is where my responsibility as a citizen ends. It isn't my responsibility to ensure the fitness of our coin and currency.

Turning in non desirable monies should be the job of the local bank, they work more with the fed res system than the typical John Doe.

put all of the bad ones in the middle of the coin roll and put two good pennies on the ends

A lot is caused by fertalizer that's why all the monarch butter flies moths frogs praying mantises walking sticks are gone at least around here

Unusable 2013 zincs? I get 2018's that are full of holes or missing edges! Just hunt a salt water beach and you'll know what I mean. I think our cents are minted by Alkaseltzer! :laughing7:

You'll also notice in the requirements that the coins have to be clean and free of any substance attached to the coin. By the time I would get done tumbling some crusty zinc cents to clean them, there wouldn't be anything left!
