Thanks for the look , Blindpig

Hi Blindpig, Thats one of them all right . It looks mad! :angry5:

I've never seen one of those out there in Arizona, just those little gecko type ones. Neat!

great picture looks like you are using that whites TDI by the looks of the coil any good fines :) :icon_sunny:

Hi seger98 These guys aren't usually in the rocks,I think it was useing the rocks to help warm up. I find them a lot in more of a sandy or dirt type area like over the girls shoulder as seen in blindpigs reply. They like to 1/2 bury themselfs in the soil for camo and wait for lunch to come by.

Thanks for the photos, im a born/bred Michigander.
Only seen a horny toad at a pet shop once.
Guess ive a lot more to learn here.

Your welcome bbqbull. I always have the camera with me, I'll try to post more desert stuff this year.

endangered species list seger...they used to be all over the phoenix area...urbanization took it's toll on desert wildlife.
when they get pissed offf...they puff up like a blow fish...hiss like a dragon...
real gentle critters...they match the color of the dirt...so you find them from dry brown to bright pink up by sedona...

Extractor , Your personal observations are 100% right on .They will use a rock to warm -up on ,but there lives revolve around sandy area's . You probably have seen a few as you silently came swing'n up a sandy wash with your detector . They will scurry off when your about 8-10 ft away , neat how close you can get to some critters with a detecter .
And yes , the lit' guy in my girls hand is quite P.O.
Blindpig

Ok blindpig , Here is a bigger picture of the wash.

Labradoodle of pa, Yes I was using my Whites TDI,and about my finds   :icon_cheers:

Endangered species list, another reason I haven't seen the little boogers around!
