I use the rechargeables, a brand made in Germany "GP". They are a 8.4 volt, 200mAh/hr. I get about 15+ hours per charge, depending on the temperature. If it gets cold, I use a hot pack on the casing, with a wool sock and my camo cover. Standard alkaline should do much better, but they cost more. I think if you hunt often, the 9 volt rechargeables are cheaper to use on the long run. If you only hunt ....say 1 x a week, the alkalines are the way to go. The NIMH rechargeables do discharge sitting on the shelf not being used.Ty said:John,
