Looks like it's still active. The town's web site says, "North Brookfield and East Brookfield share the town beach at Lake Lashaway. Activities at the lake include fishing, boating, swimming, picnicking, skating and hockey." Wonder if that exact same spot is still used.

The Lake Lashaway spot is still in use, it's the shared town beach for East and North Brookfield and is located at the end of Park Street.
