XP Deus II v0.6 with 11" Coil
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Me & the detecting partner did 1 last hunt before the wheat gets too high. The aim was to finish the whole of the middle section, so that next year we knew wher to start from. Completed the grid in 3 hours.
I had 16 Roman Coins including 1 debased Silver.
Partner had 9 Roman Bronze Coins but the find of the day was his nice conditioned Sest.

Crusader your finds do not look like much to the inexperienced people. But to those that really know WOW they are fantastic. Thank you so VERY MUCH FOR SHOWING and sharing with us :)

Cru,
Can you post a pic of your mate's reverse Sest.?
Has it been ID-ed?
Thanks,
Don in SoCal.

Yes IDed by Cru'dad:
Obv: ]ES MAVREL ANTON[ - can only be MARCUS AURELIUS.
The reverse type is probably Salus feeding snake from Altar with COS II? in Exergue so legend begins:
Rev: SALVTI AVGVSTOR
Definitely Marcus Aurelius Sestertius AD 161-163 see RIC 836-846

You guys in the UK find some of the best stuff.
