The 8 or 9 (I think, but don't count) silver streak has ended. We have now gridded about 80% of the known scatter & we hope to finish the site tomorrow although being such a big site it's a tall order!
We have previously had some competition on this field, but nothing that concerns us, & I have not seen any signs yet, so after tomorrow its all theirs.

32 Roman Coins
Lead Cloth Seal
Medieval Buckle bits..
Roman Fibula bit
Saxon Brooch knop
Roman bits
5 Coins for the album/give to the owners.

Great finds! :icon_thumleft: Those Roman coins are really neat!

:icon_thumleft: Almost time to give this site a name....

This one we didn't discover like many of the others, however we are mopping it up & the first to gps map it.

You guys deserve some recognition for your contribution to historical knowledge at least. :)

We get it from those authorities in the British Museum, this site is one of those that the land-owner has allowed us to record all the Roman Coins directly with the British Museum. This is voluntary & our connections help us bypass the very slow FLO process. Cru'dad is the first identifier of the coins on the PAS and the Coin experts are the 2nd. Cru'dad personal database that includes all the coins, most of which the landowners don't want to share is mostly likely the largest privately owned GPSed database in Britain. We need no real recognition as its just our way of doing things properly. (it takes crudad over 1000 hours of recording/researching a year, on top of the 500 hours detecting)

Great saves from a great place. Congrats
