Hey guys here is a wood carving I found this last weekend at a flea market here in Austin.I talked the lady out of it for a dollar & a smile.I have know nothing about it at all other than the lady telling me it was old & ugly......Anyway as usual any help is appreciated.

What is the size?
Do I see the remains of metal on both sides just below the screw?
It might be a Mexican carnival mask.
