I got a chance to try out the new beachhunter ID300 tonight in the front yard. I had a little trouble with the ground balance, but after I figured that out it I was set. So my first time I learned:
1. I should dig smaller plugs, this thing is dead on.
2. Digging in the soil cutting grass roots with a kitchen knife is hard.
3. My heart jumps on a Good soild ID tone
4. If the ID light flash red(iron) its iron.
5. This machine can go deep(I think)
6. This is FUN.
7 . My arm is kinda sore.

Love the green Keep it up!!!!!

Wait to you swing for a few hours, then your arm gets real sore. But after time it seems like your arms get conditioned.

Hey BrownBear,
Tecting is a unique hobby/sport/thing. Learning, like you have already, is part and parcel to the "thing". The more you go out the more you learn, the more you learn the better the finds get, save every now and then there is that brass sprinkler head that fakes me out. Good Luck, enjoy the exercise (try switching arms as one big arm and one little arm kinda looks, well, odd) and we look forward to your posts. Herb

Brownbear,

Thanks for posting the pics. If you havent already, you should check some toys on the net. That little metal dino might be of some value if its old.
