There is something looking at me

I was hunting an old house yard that was littered with nails. I had gone to the small coil on my F75 and got a zinc signal. One of you guys posted a "dig those zinc signals post" and at that moment it was like you were speaking to me. I dug it and found a very cool but strange find.
This is about the size of a fifty cent piece, covered with a glass or plastic type dome, metal backed, with hardware like a pin. It is pretty dark, scratched up but I swear I see a dog face looking back at me. I am sure it is old, it was deep, and it is pretty unusual. Let me know what you see.

I was told that this is a horse bridle Rosette. It probably is old, late 1800's or early 1900's. The cool thing to me is that they still make these for horse folks. They sometimes have initials, photos, or graphics. I guess that little garage behind the house in town probably was a stable at some point. Thanks, guys.

Hey Kilmer, I got one of those with a pink pony in it always thought it was a belt buckle. Here's a pic.

Your pink pony is pretty cool. SteveMo on the other forum told me what it was. Mine has two broken studs on the back. You can goggle bridle rosettes and a company that is making them today comes up. Really a pretty cool deal. Thanks for sharing.
