These guys weren't fooled!

A week or so ago I posted some poor daffodils/buttercups that had been fooled into blooming only to get covered in snow. After 3 days of 65-70 degree weather, here's what I found around my yard:

These first 2 are in the woods at the back of my property and they just grow everywhere back there.

These next two are in my front yard and were transplanted from the woods.

I guess you have md that spot, that's how we find a lot of old homesites in the spring, by the flowers growing there.

Fossis.............

Re: These guys weren't fooled!

Margie! :-* Great to hear from you.

Fossis, if it'll stay a bit on the warm side and not be pouring down rain, that's on my agenda. At the very back of the property there's a stream bed that now runs only when it rains and there is a cut-stone step down to the stream bed. I'm a heading that way!

Re: These guys weren't fooled!

Good evening, Wes. ZThanks for some really great pics, I needed to see a real happy color, those flowers look happy.

Re: These guys weren't fooled!

Is it really warm enough there for them to pop up! ;D

Re: These guys weren't fooled!

Wes, is that vine wrapping itself around the trees, grape vine? If so it's an even better sign of an old homestead there. Good luck with detecting it, hurry up, we are waiting. Alright wait until it's down to a sprinkle.

Anyone ever say "Dizz has nice Daffs?" ;D

Re: These guys weren't fooled!

Our Daffodils often get fooled, then snowed on. Can't wait to see what you find around the old homestead.
