Vas is los? Nien spricken der German! JIM

Thimbles such as those can be found in the same spots old coins are found. I got some myself some are brass, some silver. They also usally have a number on them which is the size number. Some have advertizing on them. Silver ones are harder to find, if dropped they looked for them, they were the prize thimble most likly a gift. The brass read low, so you might want to dig the iffy signals that is where they read at.

Those are cool! My mom has a collection of them, oldest being in the early 1900s. I like the aluminum advertising kind. I have a few silver ones i got off eby, they have needle holes in the top from use lol.

Those pictured thimbles are from lately middle-ages to early XX cc. It's true, that they can be found on places, wjere are old coins.
Silver thimbles are very rare in Poland, I haven't found any yet ;)

Extreamly nice collection. I have about 8 and over half are smashed. :'(
