Found this today on the edge of the Nueces River. The area I was looking in was mostly vegetated, but the cows made a nice path to the river, and i was able to find something. I found alot of flakes/debitage close to this area, but I ended up finding this extremely thin uniface blade. It has been beautifully worked on top and has evidence of use wear on one side. At the edges it is paper thin. Lucky, the cows didn't stomp it first.. The pics aren't great b/c I used my iphone to take the pics, but I hope it will show the work on the top of the blade. You could perform surgery with this one, by far the sharpest blade i have found. It never made it to the river to get rounded... Found about 1 mile from where I found my triangle point and preform/scraper in my previous post. Still have one more day of work, which means one more day of kickin up dust for a bit. It is damn hot in Crystal City, upper 100's.... Happy huntin...

Ok you are starting to make me jealous with all your finds. Hopefully I will get to hunt in the next couple of weeks. Keep posting Abarnard.

Sorry, my pics look like crap, I will post better ones when I get back to Austin, tx. Not too bad for some pics from an iphone though.

Great river finds Abarnard.

I do a lot of river/ creek hunting in and around Central to West Texas, but we haven't got a good gully washer lately and some of my spots are producing less and less.

Hope your good luck continues. :icon_thumright:

Thanks bravowhiskey, the sun has been bright, and the area dry. This oil and gas job I have been on has been fun; plenty of time to poke around. Got lucky and found this piece. I think it might have came from a preform, then worked on top, yet it did have some use. Still have one area to check, didn't find much today but I am sure I will tomorrow.. Hope to get some damn rain, we need it. My home in Austin sure needs it bad. All we have been getting is hail and damage... My new 2008 Tacoma needs to get an estimate. Thanks for checking..
