i use a sand shark 8" coil for beach and relic hunting now.... The hype and reality of the Vanquish in black sand conditions ? ,,,Where am at the beach are Black or dark brown and up land there layers of black sand every were ...What i seen of past vlf detectors next to worthless ....Would a 12" multi vlf be better and as deep as a 8" P.I. 
? And how would the iron bias work in lots of black sand ? Hope to hear the facts from some Vanquish members on the West coast
