That's a nice one. it is old, the design was used for a very long time. Having a history of the site would help.

The site was a hunting and fishing club In the 1920s. This has been proven by the vast number of headstamps and bullets/fired rounds found. Some of the headstamps date late 1800-early 1900s. Several pocket knives also.
This is my 3rd axe head found here and each one was different telling me trees were chopped down or maintained if fallen.
 

That axe is similar to the ones carried by Union Civil War soldiers. Gary

I have one just like it. I have to put it in electrolysis. Found it on a 1850’s site, but not sure the age.
