fertilized soils and copper coins don't mix
Well made it out the other day with hunthicks hoping for a 62nd regiment button but wasn't meant to be. The day started off with rain but quickly turned to perfect detecting weather except for those pesky mosquitoes... Detected for about an hour when the farmer came storming down through the fields in his truck...great I think to myself, he changed his mind and wanted us off the property....NOPE he brought us coffee! Yup a large Java from Robin's Donuts, never had that happen before, then hunthicks gives him an old cross that he found moments before...I then pass over a tractor piece that he had lost...He was as happy as we were... I have some more items to give him, next trip out...
Now with our crappy soil... Crusty ole American 1838 LC, 1919 Can LC and a 1832 1/2 penny token from NS. The 1900 dog tag was neat find...The Daisy Flour pin came up with the marked trigger guard (arrows) so I assume it's pretty old... I also thought the 2 livery buttons were cool...thanks for looking
