This weekend at my secret bottle dump!

About 2 weeks ago, I was wandering aimlessly through the woods with my detector, when I came upon a spot where the signals started raining down like crazy. A little dig, and a few shards of glass, and I realized I was on to my first little dump in the middle of nowhere. Went back over the weekend to do some more digging, and here's the results. I'll try to spare you too many pictures unless there's something you're curious about.

Edit: The first picture was actually just from our yard, but the rest is from the dump area.

I love bottle dumps. They will take over your basement in no time. Lots of clock parts in there it looks like. Sometimes a sifter will catch what you might miss out of them. Nice hunt!

Oh, great idea. There's definitely been a lot of tiny stuff that I might have missed had I not been lucky.

I think so. Despite its size it's definitely got some heft to it.

Well then it is the osun god of the santeria religion. This is what it looks like:



I found mine underwater where it is supposed to be thrown after the owner dies. I thought it was a paperweight off an old sunk schooner! The base is full of lead also. Bells represent the directions. If it ever fell over in your house it was bad luck.

I read a lot about it a long time ago. LOL my wife demanded I throw it out. I just hid it.

That's really neat. I think mine is probably more likely just a toy rooster given the rural location and the amount of "child" sized items I've also found there. I've seen similar toys on google images that were made by a company called Britains. Of course, your story would be way more exciting than mine, haha.
