On my bucket list is a clay pipe. I have a stem that a friend found while I was with her, but I want to find my own full pipe. Well I only found a tiny piece of a stem! But it means I’m looking in the right places! Anyone ever find a clay pipe in Maryland?

I thought everyone smoked back then but Ive only ever found a few stem pieces myself. Gotta dig an early trashpit most likely to get a good one

Nice relic find. It may be tough for you to find a complete pipe, but not impossible. I have only found stems and a few bowls, but I hunt a lot of fields where the tractors get to them and break them into separate pieces. Depends on where you do most of your searching. Good luck.

I hunt on beaches and in bottle dumps. Problem is I can’t find an old enough dump.....
