Was setting up a deer stand and when I got done brought out the machine for a quick hunt. Had a solid copper signal after a bunch of trash and found this
Needless to say I was psyched when I saw liberty. But it felt light

Lot of junk in the ground around it. But the house dates to the late 1700's

Looks like it might of been a lid off of something but not sure. Interesting for sure.

If you place a piece of foil over a coin that has raised details and gently rub an eraser over it. You may be able to press the details of the coin onto the foil. That is what that target looks like. The details of a coin pressed into a heavy piece of foil.

Could it be an impression made from the actual coin by putting the coin and a softer metal in a press? Can you tell what the metal is?
