Thought I'd Try a Moon Shot

Shot this last night, hand held @ 40X zoom with a Canon Powershot SX100 IS.


Then with the new Star Trek movie coming out today, I played in Paint a bit to give it perspective. LOL Yeah I know, don't give up the day job. :P

Being from Oklahoma myself, I was a little apprehensive about the 'try a moon shot' line. (ha-ha) Good pic. I'm about 8,000 ft. closer to the moon here and you think my pics would come out better, but I haven't reached the quality of yours.

Thats a pretty picture Jeff...reminds me of the night we were driving through Arizona heading back home to Texas, the moon was so close it was like you could just reach up and touch it....

You got some good shots here. I was thinking today that it has been a while since I posted
a few space pics. so I lined up some and resized them and posted them without looking to see
what was posted in the last few hours. I just checked them out to see if theywent ok and then
started reading the others. I was quite surprised to see your moon shots here after thinking
no one has seen anything like this for a while. You beat me to the punch. LOL

Nice shot! Uh-oh, a Trekkie! I will see this new movie when it's on dvd. I guess I'm a "vintage trekkie", never could bond with any one of the new crews, just the classic one.
