Wow! Nice looking coin! I hope it is real.

I'd say it grades XF. Nice looking coin.

from what I can see I would grade it XF to AU with a price of $90 to $150 a very nice coin

I would say it's an AU coin with retail around $375, coming from Red Book.

I think it has too much wear to rate an AU grade.

I think any coin that old looking that good is a reproduction.

Have you weighed the coin?

It's not a rare date so a counterfeit is unlikely.

I wasn't meaning a counterfeit, I was thinking along the line of souvenir copy.

Bust halves are not uncommon in this condition. The OP's coin is not a "souvenir copy".

Very nice coin. I agree with the XF to AU assessments That said, I would get that coin into a protective holder. But if you must hold it physically, just do so by the edges--especially with a classic old coin that pristine.

Strong VF to low XF... Flat spots on the feathers and curls indicate too much wear to be even close to AU

Congrats on a nice old Half Dollar! IMHO, it is an EF-40 but has had an old cleaning. This would preclude it from receiving a true grade, if certified and graded and will effect the price, if resold. It does appear to be a Small "0" (zero in the Date) but does not appear to be a Large Date Variety which would make it very valuable even with an old cleaning.

Its real.... It is XF-40.... it is no where near AU... I was a coin dealer for 20 years... Great coin!
