Got out to a new place yesterday with my Dad, Goio, SMAN and McEtrak. Everyone was so worried about it raining, but all I cared about was that we got there early and have the possibility of no rain and a full day of detecting! We got there early enough and all day it didn't rain! Perfect. Some of the ground was 3" of ice-mud... and I probably cut one too many of those plugs. I did think it was worth it every time and every time I did I wasn't disappointed. I ended up with 3 indians, 8 wheaties (oldest 1910, one was 1914-P! doh), sterling fair pin?, silver inlay pocket knife, religious pendant, and a cool token from 1961 and about a $1.50 in clad.
I'd love to write some more of the story! But I have to get off to work. Wait 'til you see my dad's finds.
I feel like this last hunt of the year was my best day for 2008!
First day I found 3 IH's in one day.
First day I found 8 wheaties in one day.
And I got some silver! weeeee.
Oh, this was only my SECOND hunt with the E-TRAC as well! Can't wait until Spring!!!
