Due to the hot weather we have been getting here in the northeast, I have not been out for a few weeks, but I was able to get out with a friend to do some detecting on Tuesday morning and found a toasted 1916 Buffalo nickel, 6 toasted Wheat pennies , and a 1912 Barber dime. You can tell which Wheats were found in a pasture field and the 5 that were found in a vacant lot in town. Then in the afternoon I went to another location and dug 5 Wheat pennies and 2 Washington quarters, 1939 and 1953. I found almost no clad, bottle caps, or pull tabs at either site. Nice finds Johncoho. Thanks for sharing...

Hi, nice finds. Congrats:icon_thumleft:

Amazing difference in the Lincolns. Farm fertilizer or manure in the pasture? Nitrogen must be bad for copper. Gary

That is a nice handful of coins. I like those silvers.

I think it's a combination of fertilizer and manure and animal urine that's hard on copper. The pasture field we hunted was loaded with cattle and horses.

Always a good hunt when you bring those Silvers home. A very good day for you.

Amazing oldies! You always impress with your digs. Way to go!!

Awesome hunt, yeah, the dirt can be rather tough on some of the coins

Awesome digs! Congrats!

Nice coins. Sounds like ideal sites with minimal trash and clad. Congrats!

Wow! Nice hunting.

I'm needing a day like that soon. I know how hot it gets there. Great finds my friend. Keep rippin
