I have hit this site three times and have found a button from the early 1800s, coins from the mid 1800s, a lock and some other items from the early 1920s. Also have found quite a bit of flat buttons. These three items where also found and I wanted to see if anyone had any input on these items. The first huge brass item looks like a muffler or well head, it was found on the surface near remains of an old tractor. The other item is lead and looks like a shot bullet or something, never seen one like it before, and the last one looks like a tap hear, It looks decorative and has groves running down the one end. Any id and date would be helpful. All found in SC. thanks,

Well,(no pun intended) the large brass item would be at
the botton of your water pump.

The other two are a corroded pewter spigot/tap, and a horseharness rosette which is missing the attachment-wire that was on its back.

First item is called a "foot" valve. It goes on the end of a well or cistern pipe and acts as a check valve. It basically, "holds what ya got" till the next stroke! :laughing7:
