Howdy Folks. Pics first. Story to follow. Ok.Tech issues. Back to the field I scored the 2 cent piece Sunday. 40 minutes into the hunt thunder & lighting was bearing down on me. I said a quick but, sincere prayer for just one nice find. Got a solid high VDI signal and pinpointed the shallow target. Popped out my second two cent piece in as many days. Praised my Father and beat feet for the Command Vehicle as the storm was right upon me. What a wonderful reprieve for January. BTW, I love green coins!!! The picture with all three of my 2 cent pieces dug in nine years hunting. Two of them in the last two days. Wow...Thanks for stopping by. Kurios1

Sometimes prayer works

Well done K1. Those are really sweet coins. I have found a couple of them, but they aren’t as nice as yours.

Best of luck to you.

wow, now that's pretty awesome. may be another one there or something just as nice

Very nice finds.

Jeez, Kevin!!! U were out in that??? 😱 I saw it rolling in from the south, but I ended up on the edge again. I was out in the yard, practicing on rings, but I decided real quick that the Minelab Lightning Rod might not b a great idea. 😛

I believe so. Just sometimes we don't receive the answer WE want when we want it. Then there are times it happens like BAM!

Thanks Tom. Apart from the gangsters running Illinois into bankruptcy I really like it here. The soil is some of the best for old copper coins

Congrats on the two 2 cents. Looks like 2018 is gonna be a great one.

Thanks Kevin. Concentrating on fields has been paying off. Lots of hard work and some coinless days but, when you do get coins they can be KILLER!

That is the nicest 6 cents I have seen in a long time!!

Those are in great shape!

I heard and saw it coming in from your direction. I just got some drizzle. It was hailing on my way home. Safe and secure. Life is good.

Congrats Kurios 1! Those are some very sweet coins you found. Continued good luck to you.

Great job Kurios! Congratulations! They look awesome.

Illinois soil treats copper coins pretty good. The top 1867 coin is my best and first 2 cent piece. Not dug from a field and dropped pretty early in it's circulation. The other two look very nice for field coins.I am quite pleased with them all. The 2 Cent Piece is probably my second favorite US coin design behind my adorable Indian Head Cent.

Another great coin and in great shape! You are on a roll.
Keep em coming Bud!

Man oh man those are some pretty coins! Good thing for good people, keep tearing it up Kevin :icon_thumleft:

Wow Kurios. Those are gorgeous coins.

Thanks mate. You have good taste in vintage copper. The 2 Cent Piece is a beautifully designed coin. Blessed with finding them in some favorable Illinois soil.
