I've been putting together a circulated state quarter roll set both P&D (100 rolls), I have been working on it since they started coming out.

The series is done with and now I have about $700 in state quarters that will be worth nothing in the future. Is it time to deposit these? Let me hear some thoughts...

If you have checked for the major errors and you feel that what you have is only worth face value, why not. You could roll search other coins to find silver or you could deposit it and earn 1% interest each year!!!!!! I know what I would do with another $700.

cash it in. collect something thta will be worth something in the future. These won't.

I guess I'm going to roll them and box them and offer them as mixed state quarters on craigslist, I should be able to get $5-10 profit.

Thanks for the input!

Cash em in and buy some gold
One good thing about Gold you do not have to worry about storing it, you know where seeing it is not so bulky like Silver; you wait till you got 1/2 Doz Boxes %40's to find place for it is a real challenge.
And know another guy on Forum who can't get his dumps dumped and lives upstairs in a 2 Story wood frame house understand and is wondering if 32K in Clad would buckle the floor (though would not mind testing that out myself), rather suspect it will- maybe that is why he has not contacted me lately, maybe his house caved in? :dontknow: :icon_scratch: :o

You could hope to think that they would develop in worth, but it would probably increase in worth 100 years from now. The interest in coin collecting for fun / profit / interest has logarithmically grown, with others probably doing the same as you are.

They are worth only face. Unless they are in original mint wrapper rolls/bags, there will never be a premium for circulated state qtrs. Move on and put the money to use. Couple rolls of Morgan dollars, couple rolls of AE's, key dates in a set, gold, etc.
