Look in the bae & you will see where the iron blade was fitted. Its just a fancy end to a knife, lots were imported from a Danish origin. They are middle-high status & came in all shapes, mostly horse feet.

Good news is that we use it as one of our indicators that a hammered is not far off.:thumbsup:
