Hematite ring possibly.

Nice finds! Large time frame. It would be nice to figure out where the ring fits in..

Most of the stuff here is circa 1700 so I hope it fits in there but I have found a decent amount of late 19th here so thats what has me questioning it

That Shield Nickel is in great shape, cool oldies. Congrats

You did well congrats

you keep finding some very awesome finds, very super cool too.

Nice finds .... a while back somebody posted a similar ring that was Jesuit from late 1600s I believe but not sure what confirmed the date for them

Thanks. We may never know as there seems to be great difficulty and little knowledge(at least on this forum anyway) when it comes to dating many types of rings

I know a little but easier if seen in person. Looks like nothing I've ever found..mine date from the 1870's up. It's was not plated correct? Kind of see a few sparkly? The bad is people way back did not have the money for gold, being gold would make it much easier to ID. Nothing on the band correct? Inside or out?
What really helps alot is the other targets but you have such a wide date range and that method would not work. And you know gold tarnishes.. I got one thursday, tarnished..14k..this is early 1900's.

Well if you’ve never found one like it then it must be old lol. No marks and it kinda looks to have been plated.

I can imagine that piece of a cobb was hard to find even after you got it out of the hole! So nice though! I said it once and I'll say it again. I'm going to find a cob someday! Thanks for sharing the great finds!!!

Yep. Had a hard time finding it for sure but it was a faint but solid 16-17 on the Nox. Unfortunately the targets are getting really scarce at this site but its been fun

Good chance its circa 1700. Looks old to me.

Looks very old to me also. The "classic" designs are really hard to date.

Awesome old coin and relic hunt! :occasion14:
