If it will grade that high I would strongly consider it just to keep it in that grade.

I'd grade it if I was you.

It could be just the pics but I don't see an MS-62 or MS-63 coin! The coin appears to be more of an AU-55 but at the least and most, it appears to be an AU coin. As to whether to get it graded or not, depends upon if you believe it would help the sell of the coin but you might want to consider a cost to benefit analysis (i.e. what you paid for the coin + what it will cost to have it certified and graded = total cost versus what in reality, it may truly fetch). With current Gold Prices and sales of these coins, I believe with great photos, a correct grade stated (not an overgrade or undergrade) and a good write up in an Auction listing, then it should sell as is for $1,400 to $1,500 which is not much off the value listed for a similar specimen that is certified and graded.

If you have documentation that it was found in or near a brothel with at least one other coin in same hide then if graded it could be titled the whored hoard and the novelty of it may increase its value.

Thanks for the info

Thanks for the writeup! the cost would be right for me to get it graded. I will update with the results.

I don't know if this is real. But it is funny. No documentation of this sort.
