Dug this tag last night in Mt Pleasant. Curious what it might have been for. Any ideas? It’s about the size of a quarter.

That's a great find! That is 100% a 1907 dog tax tag (dog license tag) from Mt. Pleasant Michigan. I have the newest edition of the dog tag book. The oldest reported dog tag from there is dated 1903. However, there easily could be ones older than that!
