...and 2 Barber dimes!
Same place as yesterday. I went out in the rain with my Tiger Shark. I got a good signal, dug a hole, and saw nothing, so I used my pinpointer. I found a big chunk of rusty iron in the bottom of the hole. I assumed that's what I'd found.
I checked the pile. Barber dime! I scratched the back of it a little digging for that iron.
Then I checked the hole again after removing the iron. Another Barber dime! 1900 and 1908.
My other good find of today was a colonial pewter flat button. Age roughly 200 years. Notice a couple of the nails are the earliest hand made variety. Probably was a house at this site, unless this stuff got bulldozed from somewhere else.
