Today I found some rusted iron, more nails...

...and 2 Barber dimes!

Same place as yesterday. I went out in the rain with my Tiger Shark. I got a good signal, dug a hole, and saw nothing, so I used my pinpointer. I found a big chunk of rusty iron in the bottom of the hole. I assumed that's what I'd found.
I checked the pile. Barber dime! I scratched the back of it a little digging for that iron.
Then I checked the hole again after removing the iron. Another Barber dime! 1900 and 1908.

My other good find of today was a colonial pewter flat button. Age roughly 200 years. Notice a couple of the nails are the earliest hand made variety. Probably was a house at this site, unless this stuff got bulldozed from somewhere else.

This proves that you have to remove all the iron from the palce and dont give up. Then you will get extremely good finds!! :)
