Uh Oh Johnny...took off the hard hat ::) tsk Tsk ;D

Aren't those a pain to wear?

Did you eyeball the ground for any possible old coins...I understand safety reasons. Anyway, the house (yard) in the 1st photo looks like a good place for potential finds.

Yes, I did take it off for that glamorous shot, but did put it back on afterwards.
I've been in heavy construction for 20+ years and I guess I have become accustomed to wearing the hard hats.

On the project I'm running now everything is supersized, if something was to fall on me, or hit me in the head, I'd most assuredly be dead.

As far as finding something on the job, I don't this this project will produce anything. Though the wearing surface of the roadway is only a few inches thick with asphalt, covering the old cobblestone road, and there are two sets of train tracks, which are buried, that run up the street.

I always keep my eye out as we excavate, I've had some luck on other projects with old bottles and the like. Thus far though, on this project, I haven't seen too much.

I'm jealous, you get to play with the BIG toys!!! ;D

Hey Johnny, great pictures! You look like your going detecting with the gear on your belt :D

Gerry brings me home old bottles and such from construction sites. I'm getting him trainned ;).

lol yeah, borrow the excavator...I don't think the wife would mind if you just dug a couple targets in the yard! lol

Your right Johnny,

You do look like one of those guy"s.
