Today was my 1st day detecting! I think i got lucky:) but i could benefit with an ID

I went to the local park to learn the machine, dug 11 cents and 20 soda cans

right after that i was showing off the detector to the kids @"granny's" house, and got these three digs in 10 minutes.


I will be going back tomorrow for sure

Sounds like you're hooked! Congrats on some great early finds. "Yards" are a great place to hunt. I've found civil war relics and many coins in my postage stamp 1/4 acre (less the house and garage)lot. A neighbor recently let me hunt his yard and I found about 125 coins in their yard, some silver. I thought at first, "wow thats a lot of coins" but after some thought I realized it only amounts to about a coin a year since the houses were built from 1900-1940.
