Today's 2 String half boxes yields my 1st Ben in a box

I managed to find some silver today from my 2 meager boxes so I'm not disappointed. I found my first Ben in a box which is also my first 90% half in a box too. :)

Box 1:
(1) '63D BF
(2) '69D JFK
(1) '74S JFK

Box 2:
Skunk

A little more for the stash (retirement). :)

Yes, I will never forget my very first Ben. The very first week I ever tried CRHing was a dud. I tried a lot of banks in my town. No luck. I could not even find any clad halves. So I read about a road trip for halves on Tnet. That weekend I was determined to find my first ever silver coin. I hit about 25 banks in various small towns nearby. Drove about 50 miles. Found some clad halves and near the end of the trip a teller said she had 4 dollars worth of halves. She laid them out on the counter and I saw Ben Franklin staring up at me. My heart was pounding in my chest . I tried to stay cool . She looked down at the Ben and picking it up , eyeballed it for a long time. I thought she was going to take it back ,but finally said "4 dollars Please." Got out to my truck and looked it over. It was a 1958 Ben. My birth year. I got goosebumps. I was hooked. That day I became a CRHing addict.

Ah, I remember a similar feeling. My kid and I walked into a backwoods bank, and I spotted Ben immediately on the counter. Both of us knew to stay calm. Glorious & victorious!
