Well,I went at it again this evening! I had to go back up to the school at the top of my neighborhood! While I was up there the maintenance guy came over to me and asked what I was doing. I told him I was searching for coins! he watched me for a few! While he was watching I assured him that I wouldn't leave any holes and showed him how I dug the hole in a horse shoe and layed it back and then put it back when I was finished. He watched me pull some quarters and pennies up and then told me he would love to do this. I told him it is fun and we talked for awhile he then gave me a good tip where to go he said under the bleachers at the high school around the corner from me. I am going to take him up on that!! this is where I will start this weekend. He said have fun shook hands and I went back to searching todays finds were 7 quarters, 2 dimes, 1 nickel and 11 pennies. While I was walking back to my vehicle I was scanning as I walked and had several good hits! well you know I wont be done there!! I have never seen anyone else up there with a detector!! I am not sure how long the school has been there but it was there when I move in 37 years ago I am thinking early 1940's or 50's It might take me awhile to clear this school ground!! It was a good evening!!

10 Quarters
4 Dimes

Way to dig! Hurry up and check those bleachers! ;D

nice finds ! and yes you got to hit the bleachers ;)

Great hunting, schools produce tons of goodies and the older they are the better. I have better luck around bleachers when I turn the sensitivity down quite a bit. You can get in a lot closer to the supports and other metal work like fences, without all the interference,HH...Shoot

Hey Mirage,
When you hunt under those bleachers, no doubt there will be a carpet of pull tabs,
but just take your time, and clean them out, and you will find LOTS of goodies under
them! I was lucky enough to detect under the old 1920's wooden roller coaster at
Elitch Gardens in Denver, before it was moved. There were coins stuck in the cracks
of the wood, on the cement support pillars, and then the ground was almost all good
coins with minimal trash.
You will have a good time under the bleachers!!! ;) ;) ;)

Great job mirage, I would like to see pics if you can.... Those old schools and bleachers are self replenishing..
Keep safe...
