Ace 250
Went back to my mother inlaws yard today with the 250. Was hoping maybe to find some silver but all I got was 6 wheaties and some clad....dime,nickle, and a few more newer pennies.

Yesterday went out in the woods beside of my moms house to an old collasped building/barn where my stepdad said there used to be an old blacksmith shop. All I found was a 16 guage shotgun shell base made by US Defiance. Looked them up online and the company was in business from 1864-1938 until Winchester bought them out.

I was getting aggravated with the 250 but after today Im feeling a little more confident with it. Still havent got the knack of pin pointing down yet but getting better.

Forgot to mention that I let my 10 yr old nephew use my BH and his first find was a 1940 wheatie and he also found what was left of an old pocket knife. All the previous times I had gone detecting there he followed me around, so today I figured I would let him use the BH. I think hes hooked for sure now.

I just found a 12 Gauge Defiance shell, do you have any idea what year it may be from?
