Today's Boat trip on the Potomac...

Well I did not get out detecting and did not CRH any but did go out on the river on my brothers boat for the day. We put in at Leeslyavania park for those that know the Potomac and went to the bay for the day. Beautiful boating weather. Here are some pictures including a beautiful sunset on the river. Enojoy!

Nice pic's, brings back memories of when I was
a young GI, We had a rental row boat, between DC &
Arlington, there was a long rope hanging from key
bridge, so I proceeded to swing from it while my
friends made a circle & picked me up,(very foolish).
Another time, when I wasn't along, some of my
buddies, (taking drivers training), saved a persons
life trying to commit suicide off the bridge, (they all
got medals).

Nice Pics!! I live in Fort Washington MD real close to the potomac!! My buddies and I go out on the river and bay quite often.

The Potomac is nice now. It has cleaned up well. When I was in High School I rowed crew for Hammond High and TC Williams High. Our boat house was near the torpedo factory in Alexandria. The Potomac was not so nice back then. All kinds of stuff floating around. During one race the shell from Yorktown High hit a bloated dead body. Yuck!
